Hurrah for Sara A who was the first to guess correctly!
Yes, its to be a Baby Surprise jacket, by EZ herself.
The most confusing part of the pattern was when I got to the button holes, do I do the 5 buttonholes across both end sections and how do I do that, or do I do 5 on each side and how on earth would that work??
Sharon, who had done one recently, and I saw the cute evidence on Sunday- to come, couldnt work out what I was blabbing about, so a quick search on Ravelry cleared it up- the pattern is meant to be a unisex pattern, and EZ gives the options for both, so she gives the buttonholes on both sides, and the side you don’t need is covered up by the button anyway.
So that made sense to me, and I laid it out to have a look at how I was doing for the first time following that…and guess what? It made sense!! It WORKED! I thought I was probably going to be the only one ever not to get it right, but I was wrong.
So I have about 2 rows left to work and I’m putting it aside for a couple of weeks until the Mum has her baby and we find out what sex it is, I want to cast off in another colour as I think it will be nice, and not sure yet what way I want to go…

Okay, I gotta fly, I have a dental appointment…
